This Sri Lanka round tour has one of the scenic train rides in the world as you can have a train ride from Kandy to Ella and you will be able to witness beautiful landscapes. You can also experience geographical differences and climate changes as you travel to up country in Sri Lanka. In Ella, you will able to visit many sites such as Mini Adam’s peak, Nine Arches Bridge and many more. Then you will be heading to Yala to have a safari there and you can visit Galle fort and south coast before your departure. We can customize this tour as per your requirements.

Day 1: Airport – Negombo

On arrival after the immigration process and claiming your luggage, our representative along with the designated chauffeur guide will take you through to the exit and will escort you to your vehicle, where you will be transferred to Negombo.A

The wide sandy beaches and the safe sea are the major attractions of Negombo, a traditional fishing town. Besides the beach, the fish market is worth visiting where busy trading of a variety of fish including prawns, crabs and seer takes place in the mornings when the fishing crafts return to the shore with their catch. The most popular fishing craft is th outrigger canoe called oruwa dugout from a huge log and is seen in large numbers in the Negombo-lagoon.

Day 2: Negombo – Dambulla - Habarana

Morning after breakfast, check out and drive to Dambulla. You will visit the Dambulla Cave temple. Dambulla Rock temple was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s many cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure carved out of granite rock and spanning 14 meters. Afterwards you will proceed to Kandy. In the afternoon, you will experience a jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park. Enjoy a Jeep Safari in the Minneriya National park. Its centerpiece is the large Minneriya Tank, and the park also boasts an unusually wide range of habitat types, from dry tropical forest to wetlands, grasslands and terrain previously used for slash-and-burn agriculture. For most visitors, the principal attraction here is elephants. Minneriya forms part of the elephant corridor which joins up with Kaudulla and Wasgomuwa national parks, and up to 200 of the beasts can be found here at certain times of year during their migrations between the various parks. Other mammals found in the park include sambur, spotted deer, sloth bears and leopards, and there’s also a good chance of seeing macaque and purple-faced languor monkeys. In addition, an enormous number of birds have been spotted at Minneriya, including endemic species such as the Sri Lankan hanging parrot and the crimson-fronted barbet.

Day 3: Habarana – Sigiriya - Trincomalee

After breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant check-out and leave for Sigiriya.

You will hike to Sigiriya rock fortress. After an ancient prince killed his father to claim the throne, he was forced to flee to his pleasure palace and convert it into a fortress to guard against his opposition. The spectacular citadel of Sigiriya built on a giant rock rises sheer and impregnable out of the plains below. This remarkable 5th century archaeological site is made unforgettable by its dramatic setting. A moat, rampart, extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock and the frescoes of the Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya. Please note that to reach the top of Sigiriya Rock, there are nearly 1,200 stone steps up and then down. Anybody in reasonably good condition will be able to venture to the top of Sigiriya Rock and it's certainly worth the effort, however important to know these little details before embarking on this outing.

Day 4: Trincomalee

After breakfast, you will proceed on the sightseeing tour in Trincomalee. Little visited in recent years, the atmospheric city of Trincomalee is set amongst miles of golden-sand beaches, where visitors are few and a warm welcome is assured. Located on one of the world’s best natural harbors, the city was disputed by Dutch, Portuguese and British powers, and was the headquarters for the Allied forces in World War II. Now it is one of Sri Lanka’s most pristine tourist destinations, with Buddhist and Hindu Temples set alongside churches and mosques. In the agricultural hinterland rice is the major crop while around the coast undeveloped, palm-fringed beaches are mesmerizing.

Day 5: Trincomalee – Pasikudah

After breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant check-out and leave for Pasikudah, you will also be able to visit Pigeon Island Pigeon Island is a great spot for people who are interested in snorkeling. You can witness many marine species such as Trumper fish, Angelfish, Parrotfish, Eels and sea turtles (Leatherback,Green, Olive Ridley and Loggerhead).

Day 8: Kandy

After breakfast, you will proceed on the sightseeing tour in Kandy. Royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya is 147 acres in extent; Started in 1374 as a pleasure gardenof the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 4,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are 5 Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens, the earliest and tallest Palm Avenue (Royal Palm Avenue) was planted in 1905 and the Double Coconuts from the Seashells Island, with the largest seed of all plants in the world is one such avenue. Visit the temple of the tooth relic and enjoy a brief tour of the beautiful Kandy town. Unconquered for centuries, this capital city held the Sinhalese culture and sacred Buddhist Relics safe against the unsuccessful onslaught of Dutch and Portuguese invasions, before finally falling to British political tricks at the beginning of the nineteenth century. Amongst other fascinating sights, Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. You can also visit a gem museum to learn about the Gem industry in Sri Lanka, Witness the traditional cultural dance show starting in the evening.

Day 9: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, you will leave for Nuwara Eliya.

Along the way, you will be able see Ramboda falls and have the opportunity to visit a Tea plantation and a Tea factory. The stunning drive to Nuwara Eliya is a photographer’s paradise. Pause every now and again to admire the waterfalls, tea estates and the vegetable fields along the way. Once you arrive in Nuwara Eliya, you will notice the sudden drop in temperature. Arrive at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10: Nuwara Eliya - Colombo

After breakfast, you will leave for Colombo, you will be going to Colombo via Kithulgala where you can do many water sports and other activities such as white water rafting, stream sliding, tracking, confidence jump, bathing in natural pools and water fall abseiling.

Arrive at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Colombo – Airport

After breakfast, you will be able to visit sites in Colombo.Enjoy a city tour of Colombo which is the largest city and former administrative capital of Sri Lanka and is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and remnants of a bygone colonial era. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. However it was only made the Capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815. The main city is home to a majority of the Sri Lanka’s corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. On this tour you will visit many of the historical, religious and commercial sites of Colombo including the historic and bustling Fort and Pettah, the elite residential Cinnamon Gardens, the Galle face Green, Viharamahadevi Park and much more.
